Blog 19: Senior Project and ESLRs

1.  What ESLR have you excelled in most in your senior project? 

• Effective learner 

2.  Please explain why you think you have excelled in this ESLR.

• From what I have learned by my senior project and others, I understand two things: senior project is either career or interest orientated. With this being said, social media networking is both a interest of mine as well as a possible future after school. Therefore, despite not being able to find a mentor, I have excelled in being an effective learner by taking responsibility for my own learning. I continue to look for mentorship, as well as research and take pride in my topic. And in addition to research and mentorship, I love sharing my topic with others and seek creative ways to engage others with my topic. 

3.  Provide evidence from your senior project to support your claim (evidence is a photo of something you are doing, photo of something you made, etc).

• My independent component (1) is an example of taking responsibility of my learning by seeking resources (CalPoly Sociology class, Dr. Loo) to further my knowledge and understanding for social media networking and society itself.
